Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines how cancellations, changes, and refund requests are handled when using USARentalCompare. Our platform provides rental assistance and reservation support; however, all rental-related policies—including cancellations, refunds, and modifications—are determined solely by the respective car rental provider.

1. General Overview

USARentalCompare is an independent rental assistance platform. We do not own, manage, or control any rental vehicle inventory. All bookings made through our assistance channels are fulfilled by third-party rental companies, each with their own cancellation and refund rules.

Customers are strongly encouraged to review the rental provider’s official terms and conditions before finalizing a reservation, cancellation, or modification request.

2. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations fall under two parts:

a. Cancellations Through USARentalCompare (Assistance Only)

  • We assist customers with submitting cancellation requests to the respective rental provider.
  • We do not charge a cancellation fee unless explicitly disclosed during the service process.
  • Cancellation approval depends entirely on the rental provider’s policy.

b. Cancellations Controlled by the Rental Vendor

  • Some vendors allow free cancellations before pickup time.
  • Some vendors apply penalties, deposits, or no-refund rules for no-shows or late cancellations.
  • Any vendor-assessed fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.

3. Refund Policy

Refunds depend on the rental provider’s rules and may include:

  • Refunds of prepaid bookings (if permitted by the vendor)
  • Partial refunds based on vendor terms
  • No refund for certain “non-refundable” reservations
  • Deposits or holds released directly by the rental vendor or your financial institution

USARentalCompare does not issue refunds directly, as all payments and deposits are handled by the rental vendor or payment processors associated with your reservation.

4. Modification Policy

  • Date, time, or vehicle changes are subject to vendor approval and availability.
  • Modifications may increase the rental price depending on demand or vendor rules.
  • Some vendors treat modifications as cancellations and re-booking, which may affect refund eligibility.

5. No-Show Policy

If the customer fails to arrive at the scheduled pickup time without prior cancellation:

  • Most vendors consider this a “no-show” and apply full cancellation fees.
  • No-show refunds are rarely approved unless stated otherwise in vendor policy.

6. Service Fees

USARentalCompare may charge a service or convenience fee for booking assistance, modification support, or premium customer support. Any such fee will be clearly disclosed before completion of your request.

Service fees charged by USARentalCompare are non-refundable, except in cases where an error occurred on our end.

7. Processing Time for Refunds

Refund timelines depend on the rental vendor and payment processor. Typically:

  • Vendor refund processing: 3–14 business days
  • Bank/card issuer processing: additional 3–10 business days

USARentalCompare cannot expedite bank or vendor timelines but will assist with follow-ups upon request.
